I’m a Soldier of Love

Just one word… Sade!!!!! After about nine years they’re finally back! Yes, I said “they”. Contrary to popular knowledge, if it is indeed popular, Sade is a band even if their album covers only feature their lovely front woman, Sade Adu. Their albums surprisingly sell consistently well even if they take quite long breaks in between albums, something I’ve noticed in only a couple of other artists… namely Enya and Shania Twain.

Anyway, I have here their new single, “Soldier of Love”, which is also the title of their album coming out on February 8, 2010. One of the more highly anticipated releases next year. As for the song, it is brilliant! Unmistakeably Sade, but current-sounding… a perfect blend of soul, rock, r&b and funk but easy on the ears.
