Stairway to Heaven is one of the biggest songs in Led Zeppelin's catalog. But, the song may have been stolen. When you play Stairway alongside Spirit's 1968 song “Taurus” the guitar riffs are remarkably similar. A few notes are slightly different, but Stairway is extremely derivative of the sound presented by Taurus.
The case is given even more credence considering Led Zeppelin toured with Spirit in the 60's, a few years before crafting 1971's “Stairway to Heaven”.
Now a Pennsylvania court will decide whether or not there's a legitimate case here for copyright infringement. Which could mean that Led Zeppelin owe a lot of money to Spirit. Stairway was a massive success, so this one could really end up costing them big time.
Life Hunters on YouTube pulled off an absolutely epic experiment. They presented food critics at the annual Houten convention in the Netherlands with food from McDonald's, claiming that they were organic alternatives to the type of food traditionally served there.
Of course the responses were predictably hilarious. With critics saying that you can just tell the dishes were organic, and therefore much more tasty and firm than McDonald's offerings.
The best part was that the food critics almost universally agreed that the food was tasty, and pretty high in quality. Which makes you question every judgment they've ever made, when it comes to a critique of a major restaurant.
Some of the best quotes:
“It rolls around the tongue nicely; if it were wine I’d say it’s fine.”
“It’s definitely a lot tastier than McDonald's, you can just tell this is a lot more pure.”
“It tastes a lot better, and the fact that it’s organic is definitely a good thing. It’s just better for you. The taste is a lot richer.”
Well Brian Torchin, goes to show you that you always need to verify the authenticity of organic food, before just blindly trusting that the food you're eating hasn't come from somewhere else.
